Fri 16th July - The Claregate, Tetenhall, Wolverhampton (re-sheduled gig)

Sun 15th August - Longford Social Club, Cannock - re-scheduled gig. (The Bad Rats, Bloke, The New Saints - A Sunday afternoon charity gig in aid of Breast Cancer Research).

Sat 21st August - Private Party, The Molineux, Wolverhampton

Mon 30th August - AbbeyFest 2010 - Calf Heath Marina (Featuring Noasis, Jilted Generation, Simma, Punkrolla, LuvStuff, Will Bailey, The Sinners, Dauntless, Bloke......) Bloke have an half hour slot starting approx 15:30pm

The Official BLOKE Biography.

Based in Cannock in the heart of the Midlands, the band are certainly no newcomers to the live music scene.

Under the name of BabyFace they extensively toured the U.K, with the likes of Wolfsbane, Blow, Toyah, Glenn Hughes and Feeder. Their debut CD “Forward in Reverse” received airplay on both local and national radio, even a Brazilian radio station featured the bands material on its rock show.

Around the mid 1990’s during the “tribute band boom”, with the demand for original bands in decline, the band decided to try and widen their appeal and out-tribute the tribute bands with the creation of BLOKE.

Since then the band have played to enthusiastic audiences up and down the country, at pubs, clubs and Custom and Classic Bike Shows.

Billed as an “all male-bonding rock covers band with a scruffy drummer”, the BLOKE set draws from a melting pot of rock styles and songs.

AC/DC to BLUR, GREENDAY to THE MANICS,

REEF to THE STEREOPHONICS, U2 to THE WONDERSTUFF.

Classic Rock,Punk Rock and Indie Rock are all given the BLOKE treatment.

The result is a band whose strengths lie in their live shows and whose sense of humour is always as loud as the songs they perform.
